About Marion

Marion Sacharoff
M.A., LDT-C

In my thirty-plus years as a Reading, Dyslexia and Learning Disabilities Specialist, I have been teaching students of all ages to become competent, confident, and engaged readers and writers.

As a Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant on Child Study Teams in some of New Jersey’s top school districts, I’ve evaluated students’ strengths and challenges to develop their educational programs. I’ve helped to expand the support services offered in our public schools, and trained teachers on evidence-based instructional practices and strategies.

I continued my role as a “teacher of teachers” as an adjunct professor at Farleigh Dickinson University, instructing graduate students in the art and science of teaching students with dyslexia. Most recently, I served as Director of Special Education for Woodcliff Lake Public Schools, leading a team of specialists across the district and advocating for the programs and services our children required to be successful in the academic arena.

Separately, as a Learning Disabilities and Dyslexia Specialist, my private practice, Reading For Excellence, has enabled me to work with and help hundreds of students learn to read and write well, so they can achieve and succeed at school and in life. I have recently relocated Reading for Excellence to Monmouth County, where I continue to receive referrals from parents and school districts whose children require the kind of instruction and support that I provide. I am passionate about what I do and want to help your child succeed – regardless of their age, grade, or learning challenges.
